Ask YOUR representative if they are willing to deny their fellow citizens representation in their own government. If their long-winded word soup amounts to "yes"...you'll know they are a threat to representative democracy; that they only support the concept if they feel it is to their own advantage.
Unfortunately, an alarming number of Congress Members seem to fall into this category. For that reason, we will focus most of our attention (starting out) on Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell (Senate Majority Leader). McConnell refuses to even bring the bill for DC Statehood to the floor or the Senate for a vote. No doubt, to shield like-minded colleagues from having to go on record with such an un-American position. Both senators represent Kentucky.
