A proud native of Washington, DC, I’m a husband, father, and small business owner in the DMV area, where I run both for-profit and non-profit ventures. My dedication to community activism began with my role as an area lead for Organizing for Action (formerly Obama for Action). I went on to create Stand-Ups for DC, an initiative that harnesses the power of comedy to shine a spotlight on the need for DC Statehood. I also founded and currently direct March WITH Washington, a movement committed to achieving justice for DC residents.

As your Delegate, I promise to take a different approach to gaining DC Statehood; one that is bold, innovative, and grounded in the collective power of our community.

We will no longer wait for the Constitution to be changed, to win every branch of government, or to gain favor from those, clearly, more interested in political and personal power than representative democracy.

This will no longer be treated as a multi-generational aspiration. 

The dictatorial relationship between our federal government and the citizens of the nation's capital will no longer be ignored.
